Private prayers
A private prayer is just for you. No one else can see it. It lives in your prayer journal and feeds into "on this day" memories so you can see what you were praying about a year ago today. Use private for personal struggles, family matters, things you're working through that aren't ready for public.
Public prayers
A public prayer appears on the prayer wall and in the feeds of people who follow you. Others can tap "I'm praying for this" to let you know they joined you. Use public when you want the community to walk alongside you — surgeries, job searches, big decisions, prodigal kids.
Marking answered
When God answers a prayer, mark it. For public prayers, this creates a small testimony moment that appears in the feeds of those who prayed with you — collective rejoicing is one of the rarest and most meaningful things on the modern internet. For private prayers, marking answered builds your own testimony archive over months and years.
