Highlighting verses

Mark verses with color and find them again later.

Tap any verse in a chapter view to open the verse menu. Choose Highlight, then pick a color — yellow, blue, green, pink, or purple. The verse will keep that highlight everywhere it appears, including in shared cards and the "on this day" surface on your home page.

Why colors matter

Many readers use color systematically — yellow for promises, green for commands, blue for prayers, pink for verses about God's nature, purple for prophetic. You can adopt whatever system works for you. The site doesn't enforce meaning; colors are personal.

Finding your highlights

Visit your profile and switch to the Highlights tab. Filter by color to see clusters of related verses. This is one of the most-used features over time — your highlights become a personal greatest-hits of Scripture.

Removing a highlight

Tap the verse, choose Highlight, then tap the same color again to clear it. Or pick a different color to switch.
